These S’more Bars capture the nostalgic flavors of classic campfire s’mores in an easy-to-make, oven-baked dessert bar. With a buttery graham cracker crust, melted chocolate chips, and gooey toasted marshmallows on top, these bars are perfect for sharing at parties, family gatherings, or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup melted butter

Toppings

  • 4 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 package mini marshmallows (about 10 ounces)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until thoroughly combined. The mixture should hold together when pressed.
  2. Form the crust in the pan: Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9×13-inch baking dish to create an even layer.
  3. Bake the crust: Place the baking dish in a preheated oven and bake for 8 minutes. This will help set the crust so it doesn’t get soggy later.
  4. Add chocolate and marshmallows: Remove the pan from the oven and evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips over the warm crust, followed by an even layer of mini marshmallows on top.
  5. Bake until toasted: Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the marshmallows have puffed up and turned a golden brown color.
  6. Cool and chill: Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely at room temperature. Once cool, place the pan in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour to set the layers.
  7. Serve: Once chilled, cut into squares and serve. Enjoy your gooey, chocolatey s’more bars!

Notes

  • Use a 9×13-inch baking dish for best results.
  • For an extra chocolaty flavor, use a combination of semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips.
  • Allow the bars to fully cool before refrigerating to avoid melting the marshmallows too much.
  • S’more Bars can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute graham crackers with gluten-free graham cracker crumbs.
