Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 6 cups (10 ounce bag) mini marshmallows, divided
- 6 cups Captain Crunch Berries cereal
- Prepare the pan: Spray a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with nonstick spray to prevent sticking and set aside.
- Melt the butter and marshmallows: In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-low heat, melt 4 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add 5 cups of mini marshmallows, stirring continually until fully melted and smooth. Then remove the pot from heat.
- Add the cereal and remaining marshmallows: Add 6 cups of Captain Crunch Berries cereal and 1 cup of mini marshmallows to the melted marshmallow mixture. Stir thoroughly until the cereal and marshmallows are well combined and evenly coated.
- Transfer and shape: Immediately pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly. Use a buttered spatula or lightly buttered hands to gently press the mixture down to make a compact and uniform layer.
- Cool and cut: Allow the mixture to cool and set completely at room temperature. Once firm, cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Use nonstick spray or butter on your spatula or hands to prevent sticking when spreading the mixture.
- You can substitute the Captain Crunch Berries with your favorite Captain Crunch cereal variant.
- Store leftover treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
